Essence smokey eyes brush review

Hello gorgeous! I noticed that cheap drugstore brand Essence provides not only makeup but also some brushes. Smokey eyes brush seemed very funky and decided to give it a try. And have not regret it! The brush costs only 1.05 Ls (~ 2$).

It is purple :) I love purple :) It has synthetic fibers. The fibers are soft enough and pick good amount of product. The brush is not scratchy.

Due to its small head it is amazing for application of eyeshadow to a crease or for small and precize blending job. It is also great for smudging of kohl pencil.
Overall I think this is a great brush for an amazing price :)

Dior Diorshow Extase Mascara review

Hello gorgeous! Today I was inspired by Baiba and decided to review one of my favorite mascaras and this is Diorshow Extase. First of all - it looks amazing! :D I love this mirror silver packaging with lots of Dior Dior Dior prints on it :)

By manufacturer: Instant Oversize Volume Mascara. A revolutionary formula with spectacular plumping volume that glides over the lashes to coat them one by one. Enriched with Metamorphosis Powder and spherical black pearl pigments, it is specially designed to amplify lash volume and deliver deep intensity to the eyes in a single stroke. Inspired by the layers featured in dresses with spectacular volume, the brush with its exclusive couture design combines two types of fibers to coat and comb the lashes for guaranteed volume.

My thoughts: not only the packaging but the formula is also gorgeous. It is not too thick, not too runny - perfect! This mascara applies very well do no make any clumps and definitely won`t turn you lashes into spider legs :D

Diorshow Extase is avaliable in three colors: Brown Extase, Plum Extase and Black Extase. I have my mascara in Black Extase. I think Plum Extase is going to be irresistible!

To my mind this mascara gives both volumizing and lengthening effects. As I already mentioned Diorshow Extase is one my favorites and worth every penny (the RRP in Latvia is about 26 Ls ~52 $).

Avene Extremely Gentle Cleanser - review

About a year ago my skin developed a bad case of allergy for ROC Extreme Comfort Micellar Lotion. And  every new facial cleanser I tried made a condition of my skin even worse :( So I went to pharmacy (In Latvia you can get products like Avene, Vichy and ROC only in pharmacies) and asked for the samples for my badly treated skin. A girl in pharmacy gave me a sample of Avene Extremely Gentle Cleanser. And finally this was a relief for my skin. All the signs of allergy disappeared. Now I am on (I believe) third bottle of this miracle and still think this is amazing.

What I love about this cleanser is the fact that it is so gentle. It never irritated my skin. It has no-rinse tissue-off formula, which means that you can use this product without rinsing. Actually I use water, but it is just because I like the feeling of water on my face. And I feel better if I rinse off all dissolved makeup and dirt from my skin :) It removes makeup very well, I have to say not mascara. To remove mascara I use Bioderma Sensibio water.

Avene Extremely Gentle Cleanser is made specially for sensitive and irritated intolerant skin. It has creamy gel like texture and no fragrances added. This one is non foaming. Non foaming at all :) If you like foams this one may be no suitable for you.

I prefer using Extremely Gentle Cleanser mornings. Evenenings I want something a bit more harsh to remove a dirt of a city from my face :)

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Cetearyl Alcohol (don`t be afraid of it, it is just emulsion stabilizer), O-Phenyl-Phenol, Cetrimonium Bromide, Decyl Glucoside, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Cetearyl Sulfate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.

The price for the cleanser is about 11 Ls (22$), but you can get it online much cheaper for example form echemist or escentual.

And finally I think this is an amazing poduct for a good value.

Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow - Sippin' N Dippin' review and swatches

Hello gorgeous! Sorry for not posting for a while - I had terribly busy week. Today I am going to show one of my favorites :) This is Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in Sippin' N Dippin' by Benefit. I just adore cream eyeshadows because you can apply them very quickly using just your fingers.

Also I love cosmetics by Benefit and one of the reasons is their gorgeous packaging :) And all the Benefit products I own are great quality. So let`s come to the Sippin' N Dippin'. The color is just AMAZING!

I tried to catch on camera how the color changes depending on the light

The color changes from salmony-peachy to peachy gold. This color looks very trendy and very springy :)

Benefit Creaseless Creames blend very easy end evenly. You can use one coat  to have a nice transparent cloud of color or layer them to have intense result. They apply great both using a brush or just fingers.

Šodien vēlējos padalīties savā diemžēl skumjajā pieredzē, ko guvu iegadājoties SYOSS sauso šampūnu (volume lift).

Iegādājo to pirms kāda laiciņa Prizmā, jo manu uzmanību pievērsa tā cena akcijas laikā (Ls 2,75, ja nemaldos). Nodomāju - wow! tik lēti! Gandrīz 2 reizes lētāks, kā mans tagadējais sausais šapmūns. Arī iepakojums lielāks - veseli 200 ml. Padomāju, cik forši būtu izdarīt tādu atklājumu, jo nebūtu vairs jātērē naudiņa Kolonnā nopērkamajiem šampūniem.

Kā jau teicu - nācās vilties. Sastāvā esošās cietes gabaliņi, kuriem būtu jāuzsūc liekās taukvielas, ir ļoti lieli un slikti sasmalcināti. Pats produkts ir balts, kas, pec uzklāšanas uz maniem tumšajiem matiem, izskatās kā blauzgnas. pēc lietošanas sajūta, ka mati palikuši vēl netīrāki. Sajūta kā pēc pludmeles - pilni mati ar smiltīm. Paldies, tādu "efektu" man nevajag.

Vienīgais, kas šajā pruduktā man patika ir smarža. Smaržo ļoti svaigi, nedaudz atgādina pļavu :)

Sveikas, dāmas! Tad nu šodien izdomāju pastāstīt par manām Sigmas otām. Drīzāk sakot - par favorītiem. Favorītos ir iekļuvušas 3 otas: F25 Tapered Face Brush  (konusveidīga sejas ota), F10 Powder/Blush Brush (pūdera/vaigu sārtuma ota) un E25 Blending (iztušēšanas? ota).

Izskatās, ka F25 man tika jau no jaunās sērijas, bet F10 vēl no vecās:

Bet godīgi sakot, man vecā sērija patīk vairāk, jo matēts otas kāts (atkal jau "manuprāt") izskatās "dārgāk". 

Vispār diezgan ilgi biju savas ideālas pūdera otas meklējumos un visu laiku otas bija vai nu pa lielu, vai nu pa cietu, vai vēl nez kas. Līdz atradu F25! Ideāla ota pūderim. Dabīgi sari ir mīksti, bet elastīgi, nevis ļumīgi. Otas forma ļauj ērti uzklāt pūderi ne tikai uz pieres vaigiem, bet var iekļūt arī grūtāk sasniedzamās vietņās, proti - apkārt degunam. Pateicoties tam, ka ota ir melnā krāsā, va labi redzēt paņemta pūdera daudzumu. Secinājums: esmu atradusi savu ideālo pūdera otu. 

Arī vaigu sārtuma otu meklēju diezgan ilgi. Līdz šim favorītos bija Ecotools Blush Brush, bet, man šķiet, ka viņai sari ir drusku pa blīvu, kā arī otas "frizūra" ir pārāk kupla. Sigmas F10 otai "frizūra" nav tik kupla, līdz ar to var uzklāt sārtumu precīzāk. Un arī vizuāli F10 man parīk vairāk (esmu taču sieviete, man svarīgi, lai ota ir arī smuka :) Vaigu sārtumu paņem labi, atdod arī labi. Ko vēl vajag? :)

E25 otu saņēmu par brīvu veicot pasūtījumu. It kā mājaslapā ir rakstīts, ka complimentary gift (kas arī ir E25) saņem, ja iepērkas virs 30$, bet vienu esmu dabūjusi arī pie pirkuma 9$ vērtībā. Tad nu par pašu otu:

E25 ir ideālais dubultnieks MAC 217.

Manuprāt, jauna E25 ir vēl līdzīgāka MAC 217, vai ne? Jāsaka, ka E25 ideāli iztušē acu ēnas. Es varu uztaisīt acu make up, izmantojot tikai šo otu. Tā kā, ja Tu gribi nopirkt savu pirmo otu, bet nezini ar ko sākt, es iesaku ņemt Sigma E25. Starp citu MAC līdziniece maksā 2 reizes lētāk un pilda savas funkcijas tāpat kā MAC 217.

YSL Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain in #12 Corail Fauve

Hello gorgeous! Some time ago I was a big fan of Lancome Juicy tubes (when they were on top). The only downside in Juicy tubes was their just INCREDIBLE stickiness. And sticky lips and shoulder length long hair together is just a nightmare. When I found that YSL is launching Glossy Stain I thought - I NEED THIS! Why? Because YSL promised:

Glossy Stain from Yves Saint Laurent provides ultimate wear, ultimate shine, and ultimate colour. The true revolution of this decade is the coming together of an extremely long–lasting stain formula and glossy shine, using a patented exclusive spatula for precise and smooth application. Pure water soluble pigments fused in a transparent texture for non sticky, long–lasting, high–shine gloss.

I got my Glossy Stain in Corail Fauve. The packaging looks very chic and reminds me of nail polish :) The formulas is very creamy. Glossy stain feels very moisturizing on my quite dry lips. It smells like raspberries, but not like very sweet synthetic berries. To my mind the smell is quite close to the natural a bit sour raspberry scent. It is not overwhelming and  disappears within first 30 min of wearing. The applicator is totally useless to my mind. It is just too big. So I use a lip brush to apply Glossy Stain.

Glossy stain stays about 4 hours on my lips. It really is not so sticky. I can not say that it is totally non sticky...it is almost non sticky :) What I like about Glossy Stain is the fact that it is almost does not transfer to my boyfriend`s cheeks :) Actually, this is the best thing happened to my lips for last couple of years :)

RRP is 22.50 GBP. I think that the product is quite pricey, but it is something completely new and worth trying :) 

Great job, YSL! I like that every season YSL comes with some completely new products and new formulas.

YSL Tenit Majeur luxurious foundation review

Hello gorgeous! Today I am going to share my thoughts about luxurious foundation by YSL. I was very impressed by my first YSL foundation called Teint Resist, so  I thought  that Teint Majeur gonna blow me away (you can check the price difference between these two foundations). Let see if the dream came true?

First impression you get when you open the box and see the packaging. Looks just amazing, huh?

Foundation comes with a tiny brush (which is totally useless):

I got my Teint Majeur in shade #3 (opal).

What I dislike about this foundation is the fact that it changes color when dries (it become more orange toned, but it may be a problem only of a particular shade). Also the packaging feels very luxury, but I would prefer a foundation with a pump (I just think it is much more hygienic).

Foundation has luxury very YSLish scent (which have most of the YSL foundations). This foundation has SPF 18. The coverage is medium and would say it is almost impossible to build up. Because of formula (or I just don`t know why) it starts like to roll off and emphasize the appearance of pores. But if you use just a thin layer everything is fine. It is written in the manual (yes, this product has included manual!) that the foundation contains Ampli Light + complex (don`t ask me what is this), made of micro-transmitters capable of capturing and  amplifying the ambient light.The light is diffused in all directions and creates a halo which smoothes the skin`s texture and conceals small imperfections. Well...I just don`t see any radiance on my skin with this foundation. Actually when I use it I always use a highlighter. Because otherwise my skin looks totally flat. Also I have not noticed any improvement in my skin using this foundation (maybe because I don`t have wrinkles?). But I saw (on some blog, which I can not find at the moment) an information that this foundation helps to heal acne (which, thanks God, I  don`t have).

As a conclusion I want to say that it is a good foundation, but (in my opinion) not worth the price (RRP is about 100 $ in USA).  

Восстанавливающий ночной крем Organic Style от Дзинтарс - отзыв

Привет, дорогие! Сегодня поделюсь впечатлениями об органическом "Восстанавливающем ночном креме" "Дзинтарс" для нормальной и комбинированной кожи. Для начала хочу высказать свое почтение фирме Дзинтарс за запуск производства органической косметики. Молодцы!

Итак. начнем. На упаковке написано, что крем ускоряет процесс обновления клеток
кожи во время сна. Помогает коже оставаться свежей и упругой. Насыщает  влагой. Натуральные липиды улучшают эластичность и барьерные функции кожи. Активные компоненты морских водорослей, Ederline S и гиалуроновая кислота интенсивно увлажняют кожу, улучшают ее тонус и упругость.
От себя добавлю, что серии "Organic style" присвоен сертификат ECO CERT. Также, на упаковке указано, что 99% составляющих крема - ингредиенты природного происхождения, а 11.6% ингредиентов получены из биологических сельских хозяйств (не совсем уверена, что правильно написала это на русском).
Мне очень понравилась упаковка крема с помпой (что, во всяком случае для меня,  кажется более гигиенично, чем запускать в баночку с кремом пальцы). Упаковка выглядит очень современно и аскетично (как и полагается упаковке органической косметики).   

 

Запах крема описать довольно тяжело. Наверное, чувствуются масла какао и жожоба. Чувствуются и пудровые ноты. Дневной крем я брать не рискнула, поскольку, сразу за водой в составе крема следует масло жожоба (у меня комбинированная кожа, склонная к жирности в Т-зоне). К тому же, дневной крем не содержит солнцезащитных фильтров, да и состав практически идентичный с составом ночного крема.
Состав:

Кремом пользуюсь уже пару недель, и, несмотря на то, что в составе крема много масел, могу утверждать, что (во всяком случае мои) поры крем не забивает. Уже упомянула, что крем имеет пудровый аромат. Должна сказать, что и после нанесения, крем превращается, как будто, в пудру. Вообще консистенция у крема не такая легкая как у кремов гелей, но и не такая тяжелая, как у классического крема Нивея :) Еще интересный факт, что крем хорошо матирует кожу (ночью - то что нужно) :)
Чувствуется, что наиболее сухим участкам кожи (щеки - в моем случае) увлажнения просится больше. Никакого особенного "WOW" эффекта я не заметила (по крайней мере пока). Но, наверное, такого эффекта можно ожидать только от химических кремов.

В итоге, должна сказать, что этот крем - продукт очень интересный. Крем хорошо матирует и  увлажняет нормальную и жирную кожу. 

Цена крема в Латвии около 22 латов (~44 $). Я покупала крем во время консультаций в Douglas и заплатила около 15 латов.

Sveikas, skaistules! Šodien pastāstīšu savas domas par pašmāju "Dzintara" organisko atjaunojošo nakts krēmu normālai un kombinēta tipa sejas ādai. Pirms sākšu, gribu teikt, ka esmu sajūsmā, par to, ka Latvijas kosmētiskās kompānijas sākušas ražot organisko kosmētiku.

Tad nu ķeršos pie lietas. Uz iepakojuma rakstīts, ka krēms paātrina ādas šūnu atjaunošanās procesu miega laikā. Tas palīdz ādai palikt svaigai un tvirtai, ka arī piesātina to ar mitrumu. Dabiskie lipīdi uzlabo ādas elastību un barjerfunkcijas. Jūras aļģu aktīvie komponenti , Ederline S un hialuronskābe intensīvi mitrina ādu, uzlabo tās tonusu un tvirtumu.

No sevis piebildīšu, ka Organic Style Dzintara  sērījai ir piešķirts ECO CERT sertifikāts. Uz iepakojuma arī rakstīts, ka krēmam 99% ir dabiskas izcelsmes ingredientu un (pieņemu, ka no tiem 99%) 11.6% bioloģiskās lauksaimniecības ingredientu.

Man ļoti patīk iepakojums - tas ir ērts un aprīkots ar pumpīti, kas priekš manis, ir ļoti svarīgi (higiēnisku apsvērumu dēļ). Izskatās arī mūsdienīgi un askētiski (kā jau organiskai kosmētikai pienākas).

 

Smaržu man ir ļoti grūti aprakstīt. Laikam, var just jojobas un kakao eļļu. Es jūtu arī pūdera smaržu. Dienas krēmu ņemt neriskēju, jo uzreiz aiz ūdens, sastāvā nāk jojobas eļļa (man ir kombinēta sejas āda, ar tendenci taukoties T-zonā) un saules filtri tam klāt nebija, kā arī sastāvs gandrīz identisks nakts krēmam.

Sastāvs:

Tagad krēmu esmu pāris nedēļas palietojusi un, kaut gan sastāvā ir daudz eļļu, varu apgalvot, ka poras viņš neaizsprosto. Jau minēju, ka krēmam piemīt pūdera smarža, tad nu arī konsistence viņam ir (kā angliski saka) cream to powder. Respektīvi, uzklājot uz ādas, krēms pārvēršas pūderī. Konsistence nav viegla, ka želejai, bet nav arī smaga kā klasiskam Nivea krēmam. Krēms ļoti labi matē ādu (kas naktī ir ļoti noderīgi :D

Bet uz īpaši sausām sejas zonām (t.i. vaigiem) jūtu, ka mitrināšana ir nepietiekoša. Nekāda "WOW" efekta (vismaz pagaidām) neesmu manījusi, bet nu, laikam, tādu efektu var sagaidīt tikai no ķīmiskajiem krēmiem. Uz bildēm var redzēt cik sausa ir mana roka pirms krēma uzklāšanas:

Tad nu kopumā varu teikt, ka šis katrā ziņā ir ļoti interesants produkts, kas labi mitrina un matē taukainu un normālu sejas ādu. Kā arī man tagad radās interese izmēģināt vēl kaut ko no Organic Style sērijas.

Ak jā, cena krēmam ir 22 Lati par 50 ml. Es savējo pirku Douglas veikalā konsultāciju laikā un samaksāju 15 Ls ar santīmiem.
