Pien- Cleansing foam for facial skin - review

Hello Gorgeous! Pien- (from Latvian - milk-) cleansing foam for facial skin gently cleanses facial skin and removes make-up. Facial foam is made from quark whey concentrate (dairy product processing by-product). Foam adds a healthy glow, while making the skin naturally supple and captivating. Whey and aloe gel soften, calm, and smooth the complexion. Product is free from SLS, parabens, perfume, allergens and PEG. Also it has ECOCERT certificate and it is not tested on animals. Quark whey contains Lactic Acid which is great for your skin as it has exfoliating properties. My skin feels very soft and smooth after cleansing without any discomfort. I found this product just amazing with one small "but" - the smell is quite specific. Dairy product smell. Man patīk iepakojumi ar pumpīšiem :) Kad rokas ir slapjas, daudz ērtāk ir darboties ar pumpīti, nevis ņemties ar tūbiņu. Putas ir diezgan biezas un "smalkas". Kosmētiku no sejas noņem labi (no acīm neesmu mēģinājusi). Pēc putu lietošanas sejas āda (man nesaprotamu iemeslu dēļ) tik tiešām ir maigāka un mīkstāka. Nav arī nekādas velkošas sajūtas. Par to jāsaka paldies sastāvā esošām sūkalām, jo sūkalas ir skābas, savukārt skābs pH ir labāks ādai (lielākoties mazgāšanas līdzekļi ir sārmaini, tāpēc mēdz sausināt ādu). Piena sūkalas satur pienskābi, kas ir lielisks kopjošs līdzeklis, kas noloba atmirušas ādas šūnas.  

Jāsaka, ka šis ir lielisks līdzeklis ar vienu mazu "bet". Proti, putām ir specifiska smarža (sūkalu), bet tā nav uzbāzīga. Patiesībā, pēc pāris lietošanas reizēm pie smaržas esmu pieradusi un tā mani vairs netraucēja :)

No Pien- produkcijas klāsta (šobrīd tikai 5 produkti) esmu izmēģinājusi arī intīmās ziepes (kuras, starp citu, iesaka lietot Latvijas Ginekologu asociācija) un tās man ļoti patīk.

Cheap & chic! Lauren Luke brushes - review

Hello gorgeous! Some time ago (accidentally) I found an information about Lauren Luke brushes. They seemed to me possible good dupes for my beloved MAC brushes (217 and 239). You can find lots of good dupes for MAC 217, but it is almost impossible to find a dupe for MAC 239. And I love 239! This brush is just amazing for application of eye-shadows or pigments to the lid. But it is pricey and one essential brush is not enough to last all the week :) (I am lazy and can not wash my brushes every day). But having 2 absolutely the same pricey brushes seemed not a very good idea :) So when I saw brushes by Lauren Luke I said to myself - I need to try them out! And here they are (together with my MAC brushes) :

As you can see MAC 239 and LL flat eye shadow brush look pretty similar :) The head of LL brush is little bit smaller and little bit more rounded shape. The hair are very similar (to my mind). They are very soft but firm (bouncy) . MAC brush is more densely packed:

Have to say they both perform brilliant!

Actually, these brushes are different :) I just liked the description of LL tapered blending brush. It is said that Slightly longer than the blending shadow brush to allow for a more subtle blending effect of eye shadow, highlighting and contour powder. And this is true :) The hair are very soft and it gives more blurred result than regular blending brush.

In case if you dont know - Lauren Luke is a make up artist. She has her blog and shop. Also she has a youtube channel  panacea81. So check them out :)

Together with my parcel from LL I received a letter where Lauren says that she believes, that good brushes can be affordable :) And her brushes are just amazing for the price! So if you want good quality brushes not spending about £20 for one brush - grab LL brushes!

NOTD - Denim collection from Maybelline 172A swatches

Hello gorgeous! The new denims from Maybelline available a Drogas from October :) Today I wear shade 172A.

The color really reminds me of denim :) It is blueish-grayish-turquese. It dries to satin-close-to-matte finish.

I don`t actually like matte nail polishes so I applied top coat and voilà! Below you can see the difference with top coat and without.

 Top coat have transformed nail polish :) Now you can see a lot more sparkles :) Also the color got much more interesting (in my opinion).

What do you think? Do you like it? Which version do you prefer (original or with top coat)?

Hello gorgeous! I have just received a parcel from escentual.com. Lets look what is inside?

• Vichy 48hr Soothing Anti-Perspirant - Sensitive or Depilated Skin. I have seen a lot of good reviews on this. I hate all the deodorants I have :) So I hope this will be my holy grail.
• Vichy Aqualia Thermal Lips - Soothing and Repairing Balm - this one is for my gorgeous sister :)
• Avene Hydrance Optimale Light. I love this cream! The texture is just fantastic! I use  Hydrance Optimale Light SPF 20 at the moment. As sunny days are over in Latvia :( I decided to pick up one without SPF.
• Vichy Normaderm Anti-Imperfection Concentrate - decided to give it a try :) I can not say I have very problematic or prone to spots skin, but sometimes annoying little blemishes piss me off :(
• Avene Skin Recovery Cream - for the days when my skin become extra sensitive.

Also I received a perfume sample by Cartier - Basier Vole and escentual.com nail file.

September empties!

Hello gorgeous! These are my empties:

If you remember I started up a challenge called Use It UP! (here). And I think I succeed :) I continue to use my facial cleansers (thanks God they soon will come to an end) without buying new ones :) 

So here you can see:

• Liz Earle cleanse & polish hot cloth cleanser. I love it! This cleanser rocked my face care routine :) My complete review can be found here. 
• TheBodyShop Lychee blossom body butter. Well...Actually I hate body butters :) They do not soak in the skin. Afterwards I can feel some kind of a film on my skin (HORRIBLE!).
• Avene Soothing Eye Contour Cream. I like it. It has good moisturizing properties. My complete review here.
• Scholl callus and hard skin reducing cream. If you use this regularly it does the job. Hard skin get dissolved (skin is not coming off like after using scrubs or peels, but it is much more smoother then it used to be). I Highly recommend this product.
• Facial masks. Both from drugstore (Drogas). Nourishing mud mask Chocolate from Superdrug and Coconut ultra moisturizing shea butter mask from Beauty Formulas. I love clay masks :) And these not just clearing out your pores, but also smell nice :) Cheap aromatherapy :) BTW scent of coconut is not overwhelming :)
• Neutrogena visibly clear wash/mask. This one was also great :) The only downside I found is the soapy smell :) Complete review here.
• Philip Kingsley PK4hair - hair vitamins. I have to admit I used these for 1 month only but I did not see any positive changes in my hair (my hairdresser advised me to try vitamins for pregnant (for hair :) and they worked! My hair look shiny and I have a lot of new hair growing). Also I dont understand how soya protein isolate (which is the only active ingredient in these capsules) can help your hair. Also...soya protein isolate can be bought 10 times cheaper (it is included in lots of sport supplements i.e. - here).
• Placent Activ ampules. This helped me to fight hair loss when if used regularly (basic course). Afterwards my hair started to fall out again :( But I liked the fact that after using ampules I needed to wash my hair less often (ampules regulate sebium production). I hated that these have low pH (which may be good in other cases) and bleached my hair dye :( I ended up with reddish-awful-brown-whatever color :)

Godīgi sakot - krāsa uz nagiem izskatās drusciņ gaišāka, salīdzinot ar bildēm.

Mani nebeidz pārsteigt jaunās coloramas glancis!

Sveikas, daiļavas! Sākšu ar to, ka man ir kombinēta sejas āda (taukaina T-zona un normāla pārējā āda), tāpēc vienmēr izvēlos oil-free tonālos krēmus un pūderus. Teint Resist uzreiz piesaistīja manu uzmanību, jo ražotājs sola, ka krēms sniegs ilgstošu noturību un ultra komfortu. Krēms ir ideāli piemērots normālai, kombinētai un taukainai ādai.

Teint Resist ir diezgan šķidrs (ne tik šķidrs kā Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua), līdz ar to ļoti ekonomisks. Man tas ir jau varāk kā gadu un ir izlietota apmēram puse (jāsaka, ka pa ziemu lietoju citu tonālo, jo pa ziemu mana āda kļūst manāmi gaišāka un sausāka). Krēmam ir jauka, bet neuzbāzīga, smarža. Pārklājums ir vidējs un izskatās apbrīnojami dabiski.

Kā jums efekts? Man ļoti patīk, ka šis brīnums ideāli nosedz apsārtumus (man ir daudz plīsuši kapilāri). Āda ir matēta, bet bez maskas efekta. Pārbraucot ar roku pāri sejai āda ir samtaina un nepaliek nekādi traipi. Noturība ir ļoti laba - pēc 8 stundām nesaiet porās un krunciņās. Āda ir matēta 4-6 stundas, bet kad sejas tauciņi sāk ņemt savu, krēms vienalga izskatās ļoti dabiski un nekur nepazūd!
Manuprāt, Teint Resist ir tiešām labs tonālais krēms kombinētai sejas ādai (ja, protams, tu negaidi uber matētu izskatu :)
